It is like a Krishna-Sudama story.It is story of a ordinary village man living an extraordinary life.
One day a superstar Sahir Khan (Shah Rukh Khan) came into their lives and everything changed.
He was billus old school friend.
Life changed people changed friends changed the village changed but one man did not.Billu Barber.
Superstar sahir khan(sharukh) visits at billus village for shooting purpose.
Billu becomes very famous in village as billu tells the
villagersabout his school frindship with superstar.Villagers tell him to meet with the superstar but Billu feels inferiority complex by his friends superstar status.
He thinks that Sahil would never acknowledge his friendship with a barber.Billu tries to meet the star but is unsuccessful.
Finally he fails after lots of struggle.People suspect that Billu is telling lie in order to gain fame and start offending and abusing him.
In the end for an invited school function, the star tells about his past.
He tells the audience that in his school days he had a friend who always stood by him in his hardships.
He tells how much the friend helped him by providing food when he was hungry, provided clothes when he did not having any.
He tells that the friend gave him the money to join acting by selling his ancestral ear ring and that friend happens to be Billo.

At that time the people recognize about Billo and the movie happily ends.
The Move comes after an objection from an association of hairdressers with the term ‘barber’ in the title.Shahrukh removed the name barber from title “Billu Barber and now it is titled as only “Billu”.It is because Barber association made opposed saying that Barber are not only in Saloons but there is a Cast of Barber so this name should not be used as cheap.
