 Rann is the movie based on Politics and Media.I will just love to watch this movie on the first day as Media is my favourite subject.So i just wanted to watch this movie and another thing is that Rann movie is based on true happenings going on in India.Most of the politicians are corrupt and how media plays with them and how this politicians buy media with their power is what shown in this movie Rann. Amitabh Bachchan is the lead actor in this movie so that movie must be a watchable movie.Let me take you to the story line of the movie.

Rann means battle. And battle is a fight between large organized forces. In the context of a civil society and its seep complexities, large organized forces (read news channels, political parties and industrial czars) are not just involved in a fight with each other, but more importantly and frighteningly. We all know about the fights going on between the makers of blockbuster movie 3 Idiots and the author of the book Five Point Someone , Chetan Bhagat on which movie 3 Idiots is based. According to the Director and producer Vidhu Vinod Chopra and Rajkumar Hirani , they have bought the rights of the book Five Point Someone from author Chetan Bhagat but according to Chetan Bhagat, only some part was to be taken from his original book.

The ongoing 3 Idiots credit controversy turned into a full blown war on Saturday with director Rajkumar Hirani accusing author Chetan Bhagat of “unnecessary slandering in public”. Hirani also maintained that 3 Idiots was not a copy of Bhagat’s bestseller Five Point Someone and that the filmmakers have bought the rights of the book.

“We legally purchased the rights of the novel, with complete authority to alter the text to suit the screen. We have always said that if we had not read the book we wouldn’t have made the film. But it must be remembered that the screenplay that has evolved from the book is very different from the book and has a life of its own,” Hirani said.

Hirani also rubbished Bhagat’s claims that he wasn’t shown the final script. “I gave him a four-hour narration of the script and he even signed a non-disclosure agreement which all actors, technicians and people working on the film sign upon reading the script so that details of the script don’t go out.”

In a press meet in Mumbai, Hirani distributed copies of the legal contract and a non-disclosure agreement signed by Bhagat on September 1, 2005 and October 3, 2007, respectively. In the legal contract between Vinod Chopra Films and Bhagat, it is mentioned that ‘It shall be obligatory on the part of the producer to accord credit to the author in the rolling credits… as under — Based on the novel Five Point Someone. “We’ve followed the legal contract and given him credit in the film’s rolling credits. The agreement was signed in September 2005. If he (Bhagat) had any issue with credits or money given to him, why did he wait for more that four years to respond? Most importantly, why wait till one week post release,” Hirani said.

Meanwhile, Bhagat still maintains that the filmmakers have snatched away his story credit. “How can they call it an original story and give story credit to Rajkumar Hirani and Abhijat Joshi right upfront and hide mine totally? It’s an adaptation. The people who have done that have adapted my story, not written a new one. Maybe they can be co-credited for story, but how can they exclude me,” he said.

While the writer feels “deeply hurt” with the attitude of the filmmakers he insists that he won’t take them to court. “Let them win awards for my story. I am highlighting the issue so that it doesn’t happen to other authors. I won’t take them to court,” he said.

Now we have to see that where this fight is going.Is Chetan Bhagat doing all this just for easy publicity of his books and writings?Or this is the true thing which is going on.To whom we should believe?This is the big question.

We now know that the blockbuster movie 3 Idiots was made from the India’s and Asia’s best selling book FIVE POINT SOMEONE by Chetan Bhagat.But in real the writer and author of this book Mr.Chetan Bhagat is not happy with the directors and makes of 3 Idiots. The main director and producer of movie 3 Idiots are Vidhu Vinod Chopra and Rajkumar Hirani who made the Super Hit Blockbuster Munnabhai M.B.B.S and Lage Raho Munnabhai with Sanjay Dutt and Arshad Varshi. According to Chetan Bhagat, the makers of 3 Idiots had not given him enough credit in the film 3 Idiots which was based on his book.

Produced by Vidhu Vinod Chopra and directed by Hirani, 3 Idiots created box office history by fetching Rs175 crore just days after it was released in 1,750 theatres across the world on Christmas day, which makes it the biggest opening for a Hindi film this past decade.

While Bhagat believes that around 70% of the film is based on his book, the makers of the film have previously said that only 2-5% of it is based on the book and that it was like an original script after the changes.

He alleged in his blog that, contrary to what the makers have said, much of 3 Idiots is from his original.

In an interview to Mint Lounge on the eve of the film’s release, Hirani had said: “For cinema, we had to introduce a distinct plot since the book was more a slice-of-life kind of narrative. I had told Chetan about the changes and he was fine with the changes.”

On this comment of Hirani, Mr.Chetan Bhagat says that there were many scenes which were directly copied from my book which was not a part of our deal.

“I don’t care what Raju has said or what I have said before the release of the film. I saw the film only on the day of the premiere so what I said then was based on half the information.”

“My family sat in the theatre shocked, as sequence after sequence came from the book. 2-5% means three-six minutes, and I had told my family to look for the few FPS (Five Point Someone) moments and note them. However, there were so many that it became impossible to keep track. The plot line was same—people meet at ragging, the first class with definition of machine, the friends separate… From Alok (Raju) jumping to stealing the papers and calling out from Cherian’s (Virus’) office—the book came alive on screen. I was surprised and happy that FPS has made it in such a grand way.”

The book’s plot was adapted by Hirani and Abhijat Joshi, who together wrote the script and screenplay for the film.

The backstory of the principal’s son committing suicide and leaving behind a letter that his sister hides from their father is picked from the book. In the movie, Kareena Kapoor reveals the truth of her brother’s death to her father; her character in the book does the same.

The characterization of Rancho and his backstory is largely original. While the focus of the book is more on the pressures of life in an engineering college, the film script focuses on how education is imparted in Indian colleges—how our educational system is inherently antithetical to knowledge and free thinking.

Now we have to see what happens between the team of 3 Idiots and the author of the FIVE POINT SOMEONE Mr.Chetan Bhagat.If this news is not the rumor than the Image of 3 Idiots Team will surely go down.
